Yes, it's true (well, kind of). The Happy Tartan Girls stormed the main stage at Glastonbury 2025, tartan swishing, boots stomping, and glitter flying — and the crowd? They went absolutely wild.
Picture it: six highland heroines in custom sky tartans, belting out catchy hooks like “Plaid to the Bone”, “Sassy & Skye-High”, and the surprise encore hit “Tartan Beats, Bare Feet.” Bonnie may have tripped over a cable (twice), but Blaire kept the plan on track — obviously. Skye stage-dived into a sea of inflatable unicorns, and Alba finished the set with a flaming bagpipe solo).
📢 Was It Real?
Look, no one officially booked them. But a last-minute “tartan flash mob takeover” happened on the Pyramid Stage right after a certain techno act’s mic failed. Coincidence? You decide.
All we know is: one minute the stage was empty. Next minute — BAM — it was a whirlwind of tartan, glitter, Highland dance moves, and choreographed bagpipe squats.
📅 What’s Next?
They’re not stopping. The Happy Rock Crew Tour is rumoured to hit surprise events across the UK this summer: skateparks, beach raves, farmers markets, fairy glens — anywhere with a plug socket and a crowd.
Expect more tartan chaos, glow-stick ceilidhs, and maybe even a full band of Highland cows on drums. (We’re working on it.)
