The Happy Tartan Girls have always loved stories. Big ones. Bold ones. Tales filled with courage, creativity, friendship, and of course… a touch of magic. ✨ So imagine their joy when they came face-to-face with one of the most iconic storytellers of all time—J.K. Rowling herself!
Yes, the J.K. Rowling. The mind behind the world of wizards and wonder.
She appeared like a scene from a dream—gracious, bright-eyed, and utterly fascinated by the girls and their bold tartans. There were smiles, giggles, and curious questions flying like fireflies in the air. J.K. listened closely as the girls shared tales of their latest adventures, dreams, and their mission to spread kindness and colour across Scotland and beyond.
And in true Happy Tartan fashion, they gifted her a tiny sparkle badge and a warm hug (or three).
She, in turn, reminded them of the magic that comes from believing in yourself, standing up for others, and following the wild adventure of imagination.
As they waved goodbye, one of the girls whispered,
“Maybe we’ll write our own book next.”
And with the sparkle in their eyes, we believe they just might.
