Where to Next? A Happy Tartan Adventure
The Happy Tartan Girls have set off on their big tour of Scotland, and today they’ve been wandering the cobbled stones of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. With Edinburgh Castle standing proudly above them, the girls huddled around their colourful map, pointing out all the fun spots they might go next.
Bonnie was quick to suggest more shopping (of course), while Blaire was already sketching the castle’s towers in her notebook. Skye was itching to climb Arthur’s Seat, and Alba was reminding everyone that Scotland’s history is never far from their feet. Blane, ever calm and steady, just smiled and let them chatter.
But then someone spotted a little picture on the map – a small, scruffy dog in a blue bonnet. That was it. Everyone agreed in an instant.
“Greyfriars Bobby!” they shouted together.
How could they come to Edinburgh and not visit Scotland’s most famous wee dog? The loyal Skye terrier who guarded his master’s grave for 14 years has his very own statue and story just waiting for them.
The girls are already planning how they’ll pose by the statue – maybe with their paws up like Bobby himself! And of course, they’ll leave a little pat on his nose for luck (because that’s what you do when you meet Bobby).
So off they go, skipping down the Mile, tartans swishing, excited to meet the legend of Greyfriars Bobby. Another adventure, another story, and another memory made.
