Last year in 2025 - the Girls have been touring Scotland - there is their story of the adventure.
The Happy Tartan Girls have landed in the capital of Scotland — the beautiful city of Edinburgh! 🇸🇨
They arrived with their brightest tartans, biggest smiles, and of course… a giant Saltire flag to wave proudly over the city. Because if anyone is going to fly the flag for Scotland, it’s the Happy Tartan Girls!
Edinburgh Castle — Flying the Flag High
Their first stop simply had to be the most iconic landmark of all — Edinburgh Castle.
Perched high on Castle Rock, it watches over the city like a guardian. The girls marched happily up the Royal Mile, waving to bagpipers, street performers, and curious tourists along the way.
At the castle gates, Bonnie dashed forward with the Saltire held high.
“Let’s show the world how proud we are to be Scottish!” she declared.
And up went the flag — fluttering in the breeze, castle towers standing proudly behind them.
📸 Snap, snap, snap!
There were twirls.
There were giggles.
There may even have been a dramatic pose or two…
Because when tartan meets castle — memories are made.
A Breakfast Fit for a Highland Hero
All that excitement worked up an appetite — so the girls found the perfect cosy café for a full Scottish breakfast.
Plates arrived stacked high with:
🥓 bacon
🍳 eggs
🥔 tattie scones
🖤 black pudding
🌭 sausages
🍄 mushrooms
🍅 tomatoes
🍞 toast
☕ and a giant pot of tea
Skye’s eyes nearly popped out when she saw the size of the plate.
“This could feed an army!” she laughed — then somehow finished every bite.
Then came the haggis challenge.
Blane took the first brave forkful and smiled.
“I’ve got it — it’s delicious.”
Bonnie made a dramatic face… then admitted it was actually pretty tasty.
Alba just smiled quietly.
“This one’s got a story — and a recipe loved for centuries.”
And she’s right.
Greyfriars Bobby — A Loyal Little Legend
After breakfast, the girls visited one of Edinburgh’s most beloved icons — Greyfriars Bobby.
They stood by the little bronze statue and listened to the story of the faithful wee dog who stayed by his master’s grave for years. The girls placed a hand on the railings and whispered a gentle hello — a moment of kindness for a very good boy.
No climbing, no fuss — just respect and smiles 💛
Camera Obscura — Seeing the City in a New Way
Next stop — something a little magical!
The girls headed to Camera Obscura & World of Illusions, right beside the castle.
Inside, they giggled their way through:
✨ optical illusions
✨ light tricks
✨ wobbling walkways
✨ and walls that seem to move!
At the top, they gathered to watch the famous Camera Obscura show, where the whole city appears reflected inside the room like a living painting.
Blaire whispered:
“Right — here’s the plan… we see EVERYTHING from up here!”
And for a moment, Edinburgh looked even more magical than before.
Wandering the Royal Mile
They drifted along the streets — stopping to admire kilts, shortbread tins, and windows filled with tartan treasures.
Iona paused to sketch the skyline — tall spires and layered rooftops stacked like a storybook illustration.
Bonnie waved at the Scott Monument.
Skye ran ahead to explore every side street.
Blane took everything in quietly.
And Alba reminded them:
“This city has more stories than we could ever count.”
Photo Time
There were photos everywhere — because that’s half the fun!
📍 on the castle esplanade
📍 in front of St Giles’ Cathedral
📍 beside Greyfriars Bobby
📍 and overlooking the city from the hill
Each one a postcard moment — tartan shining bright.
Where Next?
So where will the Happy Tartan Girls appear next on their Scottish Tour?
🏰 Eilean Donan Castle?

🏞 The Isle of Skye to chase waterfalls?
One thing’s for certain — wherever they go, they’ll bring friendship, kindness, and a whole lot of tartan colour with them 🌈
