The Happy Tartan Girls have arrived in Glasgow, Scotland’s friendliest city — full of humour, art, music, and stories on every corner. And of course, there was one place they had to visit first…
The Gallery of Modern Art — GoMA.
Home of brilliant exhibitions…
Beautiful architecture…
And the most famous traffic cone in the world. 😄
Meeting the Cone-Topped Horse
As the girls reached Royal Exchange Square, they spotted the statue right away — the proud horse and rider standing tall… both wearing bright orange traffic cones like party hats.
Bonnie burst into giggles.
“Let’s dazzle ’em — he’s even more stylish than us!”
Before you could say tartan takeover, the girls had each popped on their own cone hats (borrowed safely and sensibly for a picture moment, of course). They lined up in front of the statue, posing like tiny cone-crowned queens.
Meanwhile Iona stood back with her camera, concentrating hard as she framed the perfect shot.

Another memory made — colourful, joyful, and very Glasgow.
Inside the Gallery — Art & Inspiration
Inside GoMA, the girls wandered through bright rooms filled with creative ideas from artists around the world.
They admired:
🎨 bold paintings
🌀 weird and wonderful sculptures
✨ thought-provoking installations
Blaire looked around thoughtfully.
“Right — here’s the plan… we’re going to be inspired today!”
Blane nodded, taking it all in quietly — sometimes the softest voices see the most.
And Alba smiled gently.
“Art tells the stories people don’t always say out loud,” she said.
“This one’s got a story too.”
The girls agreed — GoMA wasn’t just a building.
It felt like imagination stretching its wings.
Street Life, Laughter & City Buzz
Outside, the city was alive with chatter, music, and friendly smiles. A busker played guitar nearby, and the girls swayed along for a moment, tartans fluttering softly in the breeze.
Skye gave a happy spin.
“Race you to the next adventure?”
Of course — she won.
Photo Time — Cone Couture Forever
Before leaving, they posed once more — this time with the cone-hatted statue in the background and the beautiful GoMA columns rising behind them.
It wasn’t just a silly hat.
It was Glasgow humour. Glasgow pride. Glasgow heart.
And the girls loved it.
Where Next?
The Happy Tartan Girls are off again — more Scottish adventures ahead, more smiles to share, more tartan-bright moments waiting just around the corner.
But one thing’s for sure…
Glasgow will always be remembered as the place where they wore cone hats with confidence — and celebrated the joy of being a little bit silly together. 💛
Stay tuned — the tour continues! ✨
