On our next stop world tour of meeting everyone and spreading the tartan happy, we stopped in to meet the Dragons in the Den
The Day We Dared to Dream Big
It all began on a sunny day, as most magic things do. The Happy Tartan Girls were buzzing with ideas, full of colour and courage, and ready to take their world to the next level. They’d spun their tartans, danced their dances, and painted joy across Scotland — but now they were ready for something bigger. Bolder.
So they did what brave souls do.
They walked right into the Dragon’s Den.
Not a real cave full of smoke and fire (though a few of the dragons did have very well-tailored blazers and a slightly terrifying ability to spot weaknesses at twenty paces). No — this was a meeting of minds. Of brand builders. Of big thinkers. And our girls? They were pitching for the future.
Blaire the planner laid out the vision. Bonnie sparkled with charm and confidence. Blane stood strong and steady, offering proof that this tartan train was going somewhere. Skye dashed around with ideas about global adventures. Alba held the heart of it all — tradition, meaning, purpose. And Iona? She pulled out a sketch of the entire plan, drawn in crayon on the back of a biscuit box.
It was beautiful chaos.
They shared their dreams of spreading tartan joy across the world — of limited-edition dresses, storybooks, cartoon adventures, and a charity thread called Threads of Kindness that would sew good into the world wherever it went. They talked about subscription boxes for kids, fashion parades, and giving a voice to young creators.
But most of all, they asked for belief. Support. Partnership. They asked the dragons to see not just a brand — but a movement stitched in love, strength, and bright, bold colour.
Some dragons blinked. Some raised eyebrows. Some smiled. They asked the hard questions. They poked holes. But none of it scared the girls. They’d survived tangled hair, falling hemlines, and Highland wind. They could handle this.
At the end, the dragons looked at each other. One leaned forward and said:
"You’ve got something here. It's not just fashion. It's heart. And you can't fake that."
And although no gold was exchanged that day, something bigger happened. A ripple was released into the world — and the Happy Tartan Girls came out of the den taller, bolder, and even more determined.
They didn't wait for permission. They walked out with purpose.
And you? You're now part of the journey too.
Because Happy Tartan isn't just about a product — it's about standing strong, being yourself, and building a world full of colour, kindness, and good old Scottish fire.
